All member associations of the European Grandparents for Climate followed closely the outcomes of the 2024 European (and other) elections in their respective countries. We gathered some first observations by our members. You will find them HERE.
These comments are not at all complete and different in form and depth. We nevertheless present them as work in progress. Undoubtedly we will come back later with more comments.
“An overview of the results in the 27 member countries shows a less gloomy picture than expected” says Martine Van Dooren (Belgian Grands-Parents pour le Climat). The ecologists win in Denmark and the social democrats / green left in the Netherlands, but the situation is more worrying, to say the least, in 3 big founding countries: France, Germany and Italy.
