Our first common action as European Grandparents for Climate took place on May 31. We blew whistles at noon in front of national parliaments and in other public places as a wake-up call for the European Elections.

I am against heavily subsidized, industrialized agriculture, which is polluting our food chain and life. I think we need more organic farmers who work without pesticides. On February 6th European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen decided not to halve the use of pesticides by 2030. By this she gives in to the strong lobby of chemical giants, such as Bayer, BASF etc., lobby at the cost of the future of our grandchildren, and our health.
