Ever more organizations of seniors or grandparents for climate regularly manifest in front of their national or regional parliament. We received this message from the Swiss Grandparents for Climate:
Each Tuesday since December 19, 2023, Grandparents for the Climate Switzerland join with about 30 other climate activist members of the umbrella association Objective Climate to demonstrate at the entrance to the Parliament (Grand Conseil) in Lausanne. We are a constant reminder to the members of Parliament to implement immediately the initiative approved by the citizens of the Canton of Vaud last June to amend the Constitution of the Canton to include ‘Protection of biodiversity and climate.’ The act of witnessing the Parliamentarians as they arrive and addressing them in person is a powerful reminder to them to do the right thing, right away.
