Our first common action as European Grandparents for Climate took place on May 31. We blew whistles at noon in front of national parliaments and in other public places as a wake-up call for the European Elections.

On Thursday 25 April, Danish Grandparents for Climate paraded their walkers and wheelchairs down the longest central pedestrian street, Strøget, in Copenhagen. The walkers were adorned with ivy and climate slogans, and the grandparents distributed folders about climate action.

The grandparents were closely followed by a TV crew and a popular TV host, Melvin Kakooza, who joined the parade himself, pushing a climate grandparent in her wheelchair while interviewing the grandparents around him. The television recordings will appear this autumn, in a special programme on the national TV2 channel, featuring Danish Grandparents for Climate.
