Two years after we were officially registered as an association, EGC has been accepted as a member of EEB and CAN Europe.
The EGC joined the European Environmental Bureau (EEB)
In May 2026, the EGC was accepted as a full member of the EEB, Europe’s largest network of environmental organizations represented in 42 countries.
The EEB works with Europe’s most pressing environmental and climate problems by agenda setting, monitoring, advising on and influencing the way the EU deals with these issues. As a member of the EEB, we can collaborate and exchange knowledge with other NGOs and participate in working groups. Together we can make our voices heard on EU level.
Each Friday the EEB publishes an excellent and, not to forget, humoristic, newsletter: New Leaf. We warmly recommend to subscribe!
The EGC became an observer member of Climate Action Europe (CAN Europe)
The climate and ecological crises require deep collaboration across borders, and civil society has a major role to play in building bridges, forming alliances and working together to ensure a future for all. The present global situation where strong forces work against climate protection and the phasing out of fossil fuels, makes such collaboration even more adamant. CAN Europe is one of Europe’s leading NGO coalitions fighting the climate crisis.
With our CAN membership we enter a large network of climate NGOs in 40 European countries and working groups with expert knowledge in several climate related areas.
