Godela von Kirchbach
Co-chair
Godela von Kirchbach is the mother of four and the grandmother of five. She was born in Germany and has lived in Germany, Pakistan, the US, Thailand, France, Switzerland and Austria. She holds degrees in English, History and Higher Education and a Ph.D. in psychotherapy. Her professional background includes teaching at gymnasial and university level and working as an independent psychotherapist. She has been active in climate activism since 2020.

Eva Riemer
Co-chair
Born in Denmark in 1959, Eva has two daughters, four grandchildren. She lives with her husband in Denmark, close to Copenhagen. Eva holds a master’s degree in English and European Ethnology and a master in the Psychodynamics of Organizations. Her employment career in Danish NGOs and Danish State Agencies has been centred around organizational development, working environment, and human resources.
She has been a member of the Danish Climate Movement since 2018 and an active member of the Danish Grandparents for Climate since 2021.

Philip Beekman
Born in Amsterdam in 1952, Philip Beekman has three grandchildren and now lives in Eindhoven. He holds a degree in Business Administration/Industrial Engineering and had a management career in various Large Industrial Enterprises.
Since his retirement he has been active in the transition to sustainable energy which is key to prevent Climate Disaster. In 2016 he was one of the founders of the Dutch Grand Parents for Climate and he has been a board member ever since. He is focusing on Influencing Climate Policy, the dynamics of Popular Support for Climate Action and affordable Sustainable Energy for everyone.

Janet Wiberg
Born in South Africa in 1950, Janet has two children and four grandchildren and lives with her husband in Bergen, Norway. She is a qualified architect and landscape architect and has practised as such in South Africa, Australia, Scotland and Norway. She has also done voluntary work in Kenya.
Since 2015 she has been a member of the board of the Norwegian Grandparents for Climate in Bergen and its chairperson since 2020. She has also some political experience as a local politician between 2015 and 2019.

Annette Flinterman
Born in the Netherlands in 1964, she lived there until 2009 before moving to Germany. She has a professional background in the international food industry, working for major companies in market research, knowledge management, marketing, and IT, alongside early involvement in local politics in the Netherlands.
In Germany, she became active in Agenda 21, contributed to her city’s recognition as a Fair-trade Town and worked 2 years as its climate protection manager, having done a permaculture design course. Currently she lives in Rhineland-Palatinate, is active with Omas for Future, Solarcamp for Future and qualified as a permaculture designer and life coach in 2025.

Roland De Wolf
Roland has been active in “Grands-Parents pour le Climat” in Belgium since 2024. Born and living in the Brussels area, he focuses particularly on climate and environmental topics addressed within the European Parliament and the European Commission.
As a grandfather of seven, he is deeply concerned about the climate and environmental legacy we leave to younger generations and values the lessons we can learn from them.
With a master’s degree as a business engineer and an MBA, Roland built his career in industry, particularly in the electrical sector and wind energy.
Today, he continues to contribute as an advisor, helping family businesses strengthen their governance and participating in several company Boards.
