The Climate Chair of Arnhem, about which was written in a News item on December 7, 2025, is early March offered to its Mayor Ahmed Marcouch, in the presence of many grandparents and their grandchildren.
Referring to the local elections on the 18th of this month March 2026, the mayor confirmed that the children “have no vote, but you have a voice, and with this voice you can stimulate your parents and grandparents to vote for the right political parties”. In Dutch, we use the same word “stem” for vote and voice.
The solemn but also cheerful meeting was concluded by singing together: “Hey-Ho. Take me by the hand. Strong and united here we stand. Sing for Climate Justice. Hey Ho Hey”.
