Undoubtedly inspired by the marches and demonstrations around, like the one in Brussels on the 5th of October, the Dutch Climate Crisis Coalition marched on Sunday 26th of October in The Hague. The Dutch Grandparents for Climate were there, together with at least ten other environmental friendly organizations.

Quite an exciting date, because it was the last Sunday before the national elections, which MUST now bring us a government that really takes the Paris Agreement seriously.
Among the nearly 50,000 activists from all over the Netherlands, we were some 500 and very recognizable in our white vests with our Dutch name: ‘Grootouders voor het Klimaat’.

And we also came from all over the country, like from Arnhem, Eindhoven and so on.
In the Netherlands we had had some demonstrations lately for other aims, which consistently ended in riots, but ours was dignified and peaceful until the end.
Have our messages convinced enough voters?
We will see and even a ‘good’ government will need our continuous struggle and support…
