Ranked as number 11 in the world, Denmark was among the three first European countries to hit the Earth Overshoot limit for 2025 on March 19. In Copenhagen and Århus, grandparents spent the day parading their walkers with posters saying, “Overshoot Day = Over Consumption Day”, “Recycling Means Green” , and “”Buy Sustainably Only ”.
In Copenhagen, the grandparents were accompanied by the Climate Orchestra and NOAH, Denmark’s oldest environmental NGO.
